The collection of stories I have chosen to upload to this website cover a fair period of time. Most of my writings go back over twenty years. If I were to only experience the events described yesterday, then I am sure my writing style would be noticeably different. For one, in places, I would certainly be less flippant and more politically correct. Indeed, if I had shared some of these writings with my senior managers at the time, I might well have been escorted from the building and suspended.
But the tales are what they are. They reflect events that happened to me in a certain location on a particular day and how my mind processed these. As such the stories are not for reinventing – and yes, everything they recount, is as it happened.
What this does mean is that there may be elements (language and circumstances) in these travel writing excerpts that some readers may find offensive. Where this may be the case, I have included a warning note at the start of the item.
